NC Flood Relief

The Tar Heel state took a beating from Hurricane Matthew. Some rivers haven’t even crested yet so things could be getting worse before they get better. You have an opportunity to not only contribute money to the relief efforts but also to spend a weekend mudding out houses and tearing out sheet rock. Here are some links to organizations involved in the relief effort.

Baptists on Mission
This a group of volunteers organized through the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Baptists on Mission is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention’s disaster relief organization which is the third largest in the world (behind the Red Cross and the Salvation Army). Baptists on Mission are your neighbors and they are already on the coast with mobile feeding units and preparing to send workers to assist with rebuilding.

Salvation Army USA
Donations to the Salvation Army’s relief fund for Hurricane Matthew will go to aid those people in the United States who were struck by Hurricane Matthew. The page includes a link to their international relief fund as well.

American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
Donations to the Red Cross Disaster Relief fund will go to help your neighbors in NC as well as those in Haiti and other recent flooding events like the one in Louisiana.
